All about 2022

Hi bloggers Hazel here and I am going to talk about what I did in 2022. In term 3 we were learning about  area and perimeter it was so fun that we had to make a whole entire school and we had a piece of paper and we had pen we had to right  the area of the building and work out the perimeter. so I used the area to help me work out the perimeter until I found out that you use the area to add let just say the  office was  7 cm and 9cm  so for the area we times it like 7×9= 63 cm squared and then for the perimeter you add like 7+9+7+9=32, it was sorta kinder easy for me but I still need work on the volume, Now that is done lets talk about term one. In term one we had to look after egg but I thought we had to look after eggs because it was almost easter but I was wrong it was actually about  looking after it and never leave it at home we had to look after it for whole week but my one broke and I left it at home with my parents and I think my sister broke it.Here is another story about term three, We did cross country. we did a lot of activities, when it was time to run I felt nervous but the year 5 boys had to go first 10 minutes later the year 6 boys went which means it was our turn next my legs were shaking  all of the girls went  up and we all took a photo then we went it was so long that I was with sarah ( she is my best friend) I slowed down to help sarah she was slowing down a little bit so I held her hand and we went over the finishing line together.    Ok I think this is enough writing for one day if you want to see blog two then you will have to read more of my blogs.any way here are some photos.

This is Aley she came first

This is a photo of the girls and we were about

to start the race

All about Parihaka day

Hi, My name is Hazel and I am going to talk about Parihaka day. Did you know that in June 2017, the government formally  apologized to  the people of Parihaka for its actions. also we have made head bands to celebrate Parihaka, first you need a paper and draw patterns and then you measure your head and stick it to together.( Here is a fact Maori people di d not fight back they just made bread to share with the soldiers. Also Parihaka stands as a symbol for peace. it must have been so sad in 1881 I feel so bad but lets move on, Most peoples houses were destroyed.

We also heard a song about Parihaka, some of them were arrested, I just always wonder why people or the government didn’t stop attacking Maori, I mean like our blood is the same color and its fine being different.

Its really fun wearing white.

But any way here is a picture of my head band❤

The BLACK-FERNS 😁

Talofa and welcome to my blog about the Black-Ferns. Did you know that the black-Ferns game is in Japan and that game is the quarter  finals. I really hope that they win. In class we wrote a letter to the Black- Ferns. we had to write a lot of things like good luck, or never give up and whole other things, and it looks like they won, we gave a lot of support to them. Sylvia Brunt just made it into the Black Ferns, My friend Dustine is Sylvia cousin.  Did you know that she came to this school when she was young.

Here is a schedule ❤

A beautiful trip to the museum 💙

HI BLOGGERS! Today I am going to talk about the trip to the museum. On the 18th of October we went on a trip to the museum When we went on the bus me and my best friend Koleka sat down and watched out of the window ( IT WAS SO FUN!) We saw the mall, time zone, and a lot of other things.

When we got there we saw pictures of statues, when we got in side we saw peter the T-Rex, The next minute we all sat down we met Tom he works at the Auckland museum and we saw his buddies that works with him her name is Jenna. 10 minutes later Tom took us to Douglas learning lab. Tom told us that there were 53 volcanoes, some were extinct. After that we went to Auckland history room. Koleka and I watched a video that made me cry. I will show the rest on my slide show

Camp!

Talofa lava bloggers My name is Hazel and I am going to talk about one of my favorite activities at camp. My favorite activity was Paddling, Kayak because I got to control it and my buddies was Josie and Cris.

Ben kept on putting water in to the kayak so I would get wet I told Ben it was cold and my leg was getting very itchy from the water so I got out of the kayak and decide to swim in the water my legs were fine. Josie and Zara said it was cold to swim but I stayed in the water and I was warm.

After kayaking and padding I got changed and went into the hall for Lunch but Mrs Sands said we get to have free time so I played with my best friends. Big Dustie was really funny and he played songs well we were eating nachos. After lunch we all went for a walk though the mangroves, turns out I thought we were lost but Ms Sands said we were just taking us for a little walk. I have learnt so much about paddling and kayaking.

Thank you so much for reading my blog, hope you liked it.
